Session 1: Working our way to fluent solfa with the 'do' pentatonic scale. The concept of time signature
Instructions:
- Print the handouts (found further down this page), place them next to you, but do NOT look at them yet.
- Prepare a blank sheet, a staff paper, a pencil and an eraser.
- Watch the session, pause when you need to understand or practice a task. Rewind and repeat as much as you need.
After watching the session:
- Read the 'Lesson Objectives' document
- Complete the tasks as set out in the "Tasks" document
- Check your solutions in the "Solution to Tasks" document
- Solve the Quiz (pass rate minimum 50%, but can retake as many times as you need to)
- Go to the next session (must watch video in full and solve quiz to be able to go to the following session)
(Every session can be revisited and watched as many times as you wish.)
